Promover e impulsar la implantación, uso y desarrollo de la poligrafía en Europa, acogiendo en su seno a cuantos profesionales europeos e internacionales deseen compartir sus experiencias, en beneficio de la sociedad, dedicados a la verdad.
WELCOME TO THE EUROPEAN POLYGRAPH ASSOCIATION
Established in 2003, The European Polygraph Association / Europolygraph (EPA) consists of professionals who carry out computerized polygraph tests. Analog instruments are only ideal for television shows, documentaries and re-enactments which require a polygraph to be operated on camera. The EPA is the main and older dedicated polygraph association in Europe. The EPA was formed to ensure all examiners in the UE are properly trained and qualified to complete tests to an exacting standard. The EPA is dedicated to the advancement of standardization in the polygraph industry as well as upholding the professionalism and ethics to which all polygraph examiners should strive.
The steady growth in the utilization of the polygraph by more and more private individuals, members of the business and media sector, in the Europe, has demonstrated the necessity for an organization to help promote professional standards within the industry.
This site is intended for all individuals interested in the psychophysiological detection of deception. No matter what your affiliations, we think you will find this site worth investigating.
This website is designed to provide accurate information regarding polygraph testing in general. Although the EPA does not provide a polygraph testing service itself you can use our contact page to seek further information and post questions on any issues relating to polygraph testing.
The association only accepts polygraph examiners qualified to carry out computerized polygraph tests; who have undergone a strict screening process; and who do not have a criminal record.
The application process is carried out by a special committee that sorts and screens applicants in accordance with the association's regulation requirements and high standards.
Members participate in conferences and seminars both in Europe and abroad, and receive updated information on polygraph-related studies, innovations, lectures, and more.
QUALIFICATIONS
All members of the EPA have graduated from a training organization accredited by the European Polygraph Association, Israeli Computerized Polygraph Association or American Polygraph Association.
This assures you: The examiner is using the latest polygraph techniques. The polygraph test will be conducted in a professional manner. The polygraph examiner is commited to continuing education within the field of polygraph testing. The respect to privacy by our members.
Effective January, 2008 the members affiliation remains established in four categories;
Full member (association founders are full members) - an active polygraph examiner, who meets the following requirements:
a. A graduate of an accredited polygraph school or college, holding a valid graduation certificate.
b. An examiner who has carried out at least 200 polygraph examinations and has been practicing polygraph tests consistently for at least a year.
c. Any Individual whose membership was approved by a membership committee.
d. Any Individual who paid all membership fees required by the association.
Intern member - a graduate of an accredited polygraph school or college holding a valid graduation certificate, who has duly paid all annual membership fees.
Applicant - any individual currently studying at an accredited polygraph school or college, whose professional skills and moral integrity have been approved by a membership committee.
Affiliate member - any individual who is not a polygraph examiner and does not carry out polygraph tests as a profession, yet is involved in the scientific or legal aspects pertaining to polygraph tests.

Introducing the All-New CPS Pro
Reinventing the instrument that started it all…
Since 1930, Stoelting has been on the forefront of design and manufacture of reliable polygraph instrumentation. This third generation Computerized Polygraph System (CPS) represents the very latest in state-of-the-art digital technology and innovation.
New Features:
Updated high resolution 24-bit analog-to-digital conversion circuitry
Records up to 12 channels
Medical grade LEMO and Luer inputs and connectors
Use either electronic or pneumatic respiration transducer
Use either Skin Conductance or Skin Resistance
Cardiograph supports up to 200 mm Hg.
Plug and Poly via a USB 2.0 connection. No driver installation is required.
Use with current easy-to-use, powerful, and feature rich CPS software
CPSpro allows you to quickly, easily and accurately measure:
Thoracic Respiration Channels
Records thoracic respiration using either our electronic Pneumotrace II transducer or our Classic Pneumatic Pneumograph
Abdominal Respiration Channels
Records and measures abdominal respiration using either our electronic Pneumotrace II transducer or our Classic Pneumatic Pneumograph
Cardio Channels
Blood Pressure—Records relative blood pressure and pulse rate. Cardiograph provides continuous digital display of subject’s pulse rate and cuff pressure, eliminating the need for a pressure gauge on the cardio tubing. Optimal cuff pressure is pressure is between 52 and 62 mm Hg for subject comfort. Range is 0 to 200 mm Hg.
Finger Cuff—Records blood volume and pulse rate from an occlusive finger cuff. Range is 0 to 200 mm Hg.
Plethysmograph —Records pulse rate and blood volume changes from the fingertip using a photoelectric sensor.
EDA Channels
Skin Conductance—Records electrodermal activity using a low constant voltage circuit (0.5V)
Skin Resistance—Records electrodermal activity using a low constant current circuit (2.5µA)
Aux 1 (Skin Potential)—Records the electrical activities of the sweat glands themselves, with no external voltage applied to the skin
Miscellaneous Channels
Activity Monitor—Records subject body movements from an activity sensor pad.
Voice Marking Channel—Records the exact moment of question onset and offset (examiner), and the moment of answer (subject).
Aux 2—This channel can be configured to record Pupil diameter, Skin Temperature, EKG, continuous blood pressure, or others.
